Don’t make me go all hippy on your ass

I’m giving up caffiene. I’m giving up not sleeping. I’m giving up working my ass off for people I don’t know or like. I’m giving up caring about the dust. I’m giving up junk food. I’m giving up the little things.

I’m going back to hiking and writing in my journal. I’m going back to going to bed at a decent time.  I’m going back to being outside more. I’m going back to the work I love. I’m going back to working out and doing Yoga and drinking ten glasses of water a day.

Damnit, I’m going back to fitting in my clothes, having energy and being myself. I’m goin’ hippy.

Ooh - good luck on the bet!

Hubby and I *almost* decided to watch Supersize Me tonight, but we decided to order pizza instead.

    Sad, huh?

I watched “Super size me” a year ago and have not touched Mcdonalds since. Seriously! blaaaaaaack.

I eat out way to often to touch that movie. I mean hell then I may have to learn to cook or something!

Spa treatment - even if it includes him going to walmart and buying stuff to give you a pedicure and such - go for it!

Hey it could even lead to something more then just a spa treatment by Mr. Flinger. HAHAHA!

Gosh…I’d go with Karyn on having the car washed and vacuumed.  Too practical for my own good sometimes.  cheese

Definately babysitting- even if you don’t get a spa treatment!  Get out by yourself and do something for YOU!  (Not just grocery shopping/errands- do something FUN!)  And GOOD LUCK with the bet!  You can do it!

I admire your zeal- Every once in awhile I make those types of resolutions, and go cold turkey (usually towards sweets) and then I hit the 3rd day or so and end up eating more sweets that day than if I would have been moderatley eating sweets all along.  *sigh*

Did you by chance watch the extras?  The “rotting” experiment was enough to turn me off of Mc. D’s fries FOREVER!!!

yeah… I’ve found you really have to slowly wean yourself from coffee…. I’m sure you’ve had those caffeine headaches, no? GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH….

Btw, I think now’s the time to go for the Powerbook.I know you said nothing expensive… but damn girl, you’re giving up COFFEE. (she said, as she sipped her morning mocha, lightly flavored with hazelnut….mmmmmmmm)

OH… and I’ve seen Supersize Me… OH…MAH…GAH… I was grateful for my dislike of fast food in general… and I will never look at a box of french fries (the ONE fast food item I am a sucker for) the same again…. ew ew ew.

We just saw Supersize Me a couple weeks ago…YIKES that was scary.  We had ordered a pizza and were eating it while we watched and I gotta tell ya I didn’t even want to eat THAT!  I think I ate salads for dinner for a full week after.

And for giving up coffee for a WEEK…I would go for the day at the spa!  Or the new Powerbook would be nice too.  Hey, do you think he would go for both??  Hehe.

Yea! I like that, Sleepingmommy. Of course, I’d *really* like the powerbook, but naturally, I’m thinking I’ll get that soon anyway. HEH.

Perhaps in my weekend of “you do it” I can squeeze in the car thing. Muhahahaha.

And y’all.. this is SO not easy. I was jonsin’ by 10am yesterday. Hmph. But, Holly, did you see Supersize me? I guess the “three day hump” is a thing. He says that, too. So if you can make it past day three, you’re good to go. Naturally, I’ve only done that once with caffeine and I was pregnant with LB. tongue laugh

Totally saw the extras on the Fries. WHAT. ARE. THEY. Not potatoes, that’s for sure!

  • Holly

No, I haven’t seen Supersize Me- I guess I will have to!  I got rid of caffiene when I was pregnant with #1 and still can’t get used to it 6 years later… anytime I have it I am bouncing off the walls and very talkative!  (Can you believe C will be 6 this year?!  OH MY, I feel OLD.)

Way to go on the coffee. Truthfully, I don’t think Bob can give up pop.  Just my inkling.  Maybe, but my bet is on you girl.  Come on over and read that damn Caffine Blues book, that will keep you motivated.  Yeah, I saw the movie and was totally grossed out.  I have NEVER like McDonalds, but that movie confirmed my hatrid for fast food.  (Now Baja Fresh doesn’t count.) Yum.  As for your wager.  Have Pops take LB for a day and I will get the hubs to do the same and for at least part of the day we could go PLAY!  Hell knows what we would do, but something baby free!

Good luck with giving up coffee for a week. All the things you listed. I need to do too. Most importantly. I need to get my butt in bed earlier. You can do it girl! I’m all for the spa treatment too!! I’m going to start the South Beach Diet. I haven’t had sugar at all today. I’m about to snap! I had splenda in my coffee this morning.YUCK!

    Oh yeah… SuperSize Me. Yowsa.

Go Leslie! I’m with the others who say Mr. F gets baby duty, while you do whatever the hell you want to do!

You go Girl! Dude that movie changed my life so much. I steered off fast food for months. Now I am eating a little bit of it. But definitely not from McDonalds.
