I pick up chicks at Costco

Today we went to Costco. LB is such an attraction for people. Old people are magnetically drawn to her. Kids point her out to their moms.  Other babies gawk. She is a big flirt and everyone enjoys her two teeth smile.

After the *sixth* person stopped me about the grocery cart cover Oma got for her, a gal with a baby came to stand behind us in line.

    Babies are such magnets for everyone it seems.  The best is when the two babies coo and smile at each other.  I love that!  I hope this new mama and her cute boy come to your playgroup. grin

    I SO NEED TO LIVE BY YOU! But sorry you have to move here - I like to pump my own gas (OK not really but the THOUGHT of being able to is nice lol). I did tell G that me and Ry need to go on a mommy and daughter trip every year since he gets to go on a weekend fishing trip. He said yes and was serious. I said “I AM SO GONNA GO AND SEE LESLIE”. Then he called me retarded and said I couldn’t go. He just likes to get me excited and then pull me back down. He is suck a ass. But a funny ass so it’s ok. LOL - yeah it’s bedtime.

    Oh man I totally forgot that you all live there. Yep I may have to visit and just leave the gas pumping to the “State”. HAHA. Ok NOW I am going to bed!

    Nicole! That’s a FANTASTIC IDEA! Come on over! It’s not *that* far. Ok, it’s not walking distance like it is to Bree’s house. STILL, though.

    Look, I’ll compromise. I promise to take you to washington and let you pump gas while you’re here. It’s not that far. I swear. {{souts honor}}

    Sarangeti.. HEH! I wouldn’t blame you. I have DOG HAIR on my floors (gotta clean). I might scare her away.

    Bree, don’t let Gavin know! hee hee.

    Hrm… I’m not sure if I would go, having just met you at Costco… but I’m quirky like that. Someone a touch more outgoing might jump at the opportunity. I would have politely taken your number andthen run the other way. I’m so socially backwards! LOL! wink

    hahhaha! I love your story. Look here: I would TOTALLY have done what you did. In fact, just a few days ago at the upscale grocery store I shop at occasionallly, Shan walked up asking if I was done and I kinda half-wailed, “I would be but I can’t find the couscous!” and this petitie, nicely tatted woman walked over and blithly pointed over her shoulder, “The couscous is over there.” Then she remarked, “I like how you are wearing the baby out. (I had Emma in the Bjorn_So many women keep the babies in the buckets.” and I had a fleeting thought. “Wow. A cool person! How do I give her my bisiness card?” But I wussed out. You don’t want to freak out strangers. I think you handled it perfectly. And your new aquaintance might just show up!

    What a fun story!  I’m not sure what I would do- probably not go, since I am not the outgoing type.  But then again, you are such a neat and friendly person and that would probably be enough for me to want to check it out.  (I can remember waaaaay back- b/4 we had met- seeing you around campus and thinking you looked like a person who would be nice to know!)  So what’s the verdict?  Did she show?!  If not, maybe she will Monday!

    that is so funny. I need to go to Costco more often. Maybe I’d find a slew of friends.
    And no worries on the flirting. Gavin does his share with our neighbors little girl Avery. He touched her hand the other day. I told him he can play all he wants but in 25 years he will marry Lauren. LOL
