It is like seventh grade gym class all over gain, minus the shorts and lesbian gym teacher

If this was seventh grade PE, my house would be the one standing on the wall waiting to be called on to a team. My house would be the one pegged during dodge ball. My house would be the one whose shorts fell down during volleyball and everyone pointed and laughed. My house is not one of the popular girls. Nobody wants my house.

We’ve dressed her up. We’ve cleaned her up. We bought her contacts so she wouldn’t have to wear those big, clunky glasses. We redid the back yard. We painted. We scrubbed forty friggin’ years of shit off the floor. FORTY YEARS, peeps. That’s a lot o’ scrubbin’.

We have another open house today. So far, we’ve had no activity. NONE. Apparently, the FIVE people that came through in the past two months scoffed at our lil’ house. It’s too this and not enough that. The house on the street directly behind us sold for 10K more. IT was the same house, on a busier street. The only difference is that it had an RV pad. Ours has AC. I think that’s a fair trade, don’t you? But someone was willing to pay ten thousand dollars for an RV pad and sweat in the summer. Fine. Whatever. I still think our house is getting a bad wrap.

We’re just waiting for the real estate bitch to show up (on time, hopefully, this time) and we’re off for Sconeday. So far, my goal has been to remain, consistently, at 157 by the end of November. Yesterday I was 156 and today I am 158 (after breakfast). My pre-baby weight of 150 is my goal my March and by June? I better damn well be in my size 8s so I can get knocked up again. At any rate, I’m thrilled to be heading out for a scone. Even if it’s while my house is being mocked horribly. Oh well, at least *I* don’t have to wear the gym shorts anymore.

One of the reasons we bought the house we did was because of the A/C. We vowed to never live without A/C again (before this apartment none of our others had A/C and humid ohio makes for pissed off Sarah). In our price range there were slightly bigger houses, some nicer, but none with A/C and to use the trade off wasn’t worth it.

I hope you get someone interested soon!

I hope it went well today!  (Hey…and I DID have a lesbian 7th grade gym teacher.  Too funny.)

I think all of our phy ed teachers were lesbians in our jr and sr high (except the 1, she was straight).

I just had my FIRST scone ever yesterday. Now I see what the fuss was about. HEAVEN!

Hope the open house went well today!

I can sympathize…our house has been on the market for 8 months now, and it’s a good month if two people come to look at it.  Our house would never get asked to the 7th grade dance…

I love your new holiday look Les! I’m sorry your having a hard time selling your house. I cant imagine having to do that too! We’re renting so we have no money for a down payment when we do buy :0( I think we found a house but we really cant afford it. Our mortgage will be double what we pay now! Did you find a house? I didn’t see your house when I was out there but I’m sure it’s lovely! It will sell! It’s so hard to be patient. At least for me it is! XOXOXO! Hopefully someone will make you an offer you cant refuse!

You don’t need those 5 people who scoffed at your house!  Those people are probably the ones who would only date the ninth graders!!

I’d pick a/c over an RV pad any day, and I’m sure there HAS to be more people like that out there!  I don’t know what else to say other than Hang in There!!  Your house sounds cute and looks it from the pics, so someday the right people will come along and want your home.

As my realtor keeps telling me… it takes just ONE person and all the others don’t matter.  Your frog will find its prince, I promise.

We have a vacant house for sale now, which is hard to “dress up.”  Our agent said the housing market in the NW may be slow from now until January.

Probably if you had left the flame room as is, you would have had buyers competing and clamoring for your house…but, you had to go and paint those nice, neutral colors….
    Hang in there!
