#Rants and Raves

The She Child just stripped naked and peed everywhere.

TAKE THAT, MOMMY! Nap, HA!  I PEE in the face of The Nap!

I’m currently listening to Sara McLachlan’s Christmas Album as loud as possible and ignoring her jumping in her crib.

I am Merry! I have CHEER!

I am buying seven feet of duct tape.

  1. ROFLMAO!!
    i love it.

I have a script for that
    Fukitol 50 mg

  2. I’m not kidding when I tell you my friend duct tapes her toddler’s diaper over the velcro (also girl - coincidence?) for naps.

Do what you have to do. Like to see her try to get that duct tape off - that might be enough to tire her for a longer nap.

  3. Susie, and I’m not kidding, I’m going to try it. Seriously. Y’all give the BEST ADVICE so I’m totally going to try it. Just at nap time. But still!

Do what ya gotta do. Amen.

  4. Oooooh duct tape for the diaper.

I thought maybe you were going to duct tape her to the wall.

Because I think you’ll need more duct tape.

  5. Maybe try putting the diaper on backwards too.

  6. Isn’t taking the diaper off a sign of being ready to potty train?  Or in her case maybe it’s just an act of defiance.  (Take that Mommy!)  Either way - yuck!  Duct tape is seriously the best invention ever!

  7. I just noticed you have a category called ‘Bitching’. I like that.

  8. My best bud used duct tape on her son’s diapers when he decided to do the same thing.  She was getting tired of taking apart the crib and disinfecting every tiny crevice.  Another fun stage to deal with.

Of course, now that he’s in the middle of potty training, he likes to take his training pants off and crap on his bedroom floor instead of go to the bathroom…and then wipe his butt on the floor!!!  DOH!  I think she’s contemplated duct taping HIM to the wall many times…  wink

  9. duct tape?  How genius is that.  I thought overalls might to the trick, but it sounds like duct tape would be much easier.

Annie De…Gross…Do I have to look forward to that?  Gross is all I have to say.

  10. Traci, that’s what I was going to say. I get to look forward to THAT?

And yea, I thought I’d try letting her sit on the potty again before nap just in case. THEN I’ll duct tape her diaper on. Muhahah

  11. I’m glad I didn’t ever have to deal with that… I think ours only took the diaper off once, but nothing happened.  PHEW.
Duct tape sounds like a great plan, though! GOOD LUCK!

  12. Four words describe this kind of situation at our house.
    Poop on the wall.
Can’t wait until we’re done with diapers (well, sorta, I’ll need something else to obsess about because they’re currently my hobby, but still).

  13. Duct tape! Duct tape! Duct tape!  I hear it comes in all sorts of colors now, too…  ;-0

    By Marie on 2006 11 15

  14. Oh no!  We will, of course, require photos of child in duct-taped diaper!

  15. So you can tape her to the wall???  ha ha ha..

    By sarahgrace on 2006 11 15

  16. Y’all crack me up with the “tape her to the wall” thing. Y’all have a much bigger imagination than I do.

Diaper. I was only thinking DIAPER.

But the wall is sounding damn fine.

  18. I totally jinxed myself on here when I commented that Chase never did that…and hopefully Claire wouldn’t either, because guess who can’t keep her little chubby hands off of her diaper tabs?  I’m seeing visions of my future through your blog!
