Oh, mama.
I can’t wait to hear the long version.
I hope you, baby and the family are all healing up and getting stronger with every passing minute.
My thoughts and love are with you all. Congratulations. He’s precious.
Thinking of you tonight Leslie, and praying that you both gain lots of strength so he can be in your arms for good very soon.

Awww, he’s beautiful! I wish you both strength and good health, and can’t wait for him to come home to you!
Oh honey, even with all the NICU plugs and wires he is beautiful. I hope those lungs start kicking so that he can get out of there and in your arms. We are sending you a ridicules amount of love from here.
What a surprise! He looks too healthy to be hooked up to all that stuff. We’ll be thinking of him and the Flinger clan and praying that O will soon be pleasantly portable.
Congratulations. You’re the greatest, Mama. Everything will work out, and when it does, we’ll all be waiting to hear about it.
Congratulations! He is beautiful. I have all fingers and toes crossed hoping you’ll get to bring him home soon.

Sending all sorts of good wishes so that O learns the whole breathing thing pretty fast (I don’t doubt it, he’s a Flinger, you’re a bright bunch!) and can go home really soon!
OMG! He is so beautiful, and what a tiny guy. He looks so sad with that mask on. I really hope he is breathing better soon so you can take him home! GAH! I am just so excited for you.

Ahhh!!! I’m so excited! A new baby!! A new baby!!!!
HOLY CRAP, you surprised me! Here was what I was mentally composing for my comment: “Why did you have the soccer ball under your shirt, ha ha I’m so funny. I love her expression during the haircut, that picture is the best ever.” Then, ZING! NOW I’m thinking, OMG you cheater, you went first and _I_ was supposed to go first. And, That is such a beautiful boy I can’t stand it. And, I am looking forward to hearing the long and detailed version!
OH!!! Congratulations! I hope Baby O gets to come home very soon. Take care of yourself sweetie. Remembering you all in my thoughts and prayers and sending you fast recovery vibes. Get strong Baby O! He is just beautiful Les.
Your little boy!!!!! I hope he’s able to come home to you soon. Congratulations!!!!!
Oh, he’s so beautiful! I hope he gets off the ventilator soon, and I hope you’re doing ok after your C-section. I can’t wait to hear the long version, but I’ll understand if it doesn’t come right away. You might have your hands full for a bit with TWO children to take care of!

i can’t wait to hear the long version, there will be a long version, right? Such a cutie! I’m glad everything turned out well considering it was an emergency c-section. i hope all the flingers are doing well and you get to hold your baby soon.
I am not even kidding when I say he looks JUST LIKE LB. Congratulations! I’ll keep you and the little guy in my prayers! Hope he gets to come home soon!
Congratulations!! Bless his little heart…..hope he gets out of NICU very soon.
Congratulations! Baby O looks beautiful. My thoughts and prayers for healing and strength for you both. I can’t wait to hear the long version of the story, whenever you get around to it. Congrats again!!
OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I just had a FEELING you were going to have him sooner than later! I don’t know why. I know it’s scary to have them all hooked up to stuff (we went through the emergency c-section, wires, oxygen, etc. with B), but he really does look good for being so tiny!
He’s SOOOO cute! I see a lot of LB in his little face. All the best karma thoughts in the world to you and your family. I hope those little lungs grow big and strong really soon, and you will have him home in no time.
Congratulations Les!

Amazing! And I cant believe he is already here…
Your little man and family are in my thoughts and prayers… I am praying he gets to come home soon!! So beautiful!
And may you heal quickly as well girl. Hugs!
When Sophia was on the vent for only 3 hours, it just about killed me to see her that way. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. It’s SO hard not to be able to hold and cuddle them.
I hope that someone is taking good care of you, too. I think it’s easy to forget that you are a delicate post-partum flower when the baby’s in crisis, yaknow?
Oh, Leslie! Congratulations!!! He’s adorable. I’m so sorry he’s in the NICU. That is not easy and never something you’re prepared for. I hope you’re healing from your C-section too. You’ve had quite a weekend!
My love and prayers are with you that he’ll be out of there and with you and LB and Mr. Flinger ASAP.
*hugz* Congrats! He’s adorable….I especially love that arm up “go away” picture. I know he’ll be on his way home very very very soon.
Anne
Flinger and Family…
Your new son is beautiful! I am sending good wishes your way…just from the pictures you can tell that he is a strong little boy - he’ll be out of the NICU and in your arms before you know it. Hope you are doing well and recovering nicely. All the best to you and your family.
So glad he is here. I’ll be praying for his health and peace for all of you during this trial. My second baby spent about 4 days in NICU and it was hard. Especially with recovering from childbirth thrown in. I hope this time passes quickly.
Oh. My. Goodness. He’s here! WOW. Congratulations and {{{hugest hugs ever}}} because I KNOW how you feel right now just touching him and wanting to just take him home and snuggle him up close and just be at home. He’s beautiful. Just beautiful. I am so happy for you, and I’m anxious for you, too.
Congratulations!! He is beautiful.
Congratulations on Baby O’s arrival! I’m praying he’s doing better soon so you can hold him all you want as soon as possible.
Sending the Flingers lots of hugs!

That is the most adorable baby—absolutely precious.

I read your blog all the time and never comment, but today seems like the day to say something.
He’s beautiful.
And 36 weeks is good. (I work in an NICU…we don’t even let the 36 weekers into our study on premature babies, because they’re too normal)
Congratulations. I’ll be redundant and tell you how beautiful he is…and how I hope he gets to be with you soon.
Well I’ll be redundant, he’s beautiful. Hope he’s home soon. Rest up.

congratulations! my very own O was also about a month early and had to stay in the NICU for a few weeks, which was rotten but mercifully one forgets most of it once they come home. he’s now thirteen months and a healthy little trout. i hope your wee one follows the very same trajectory. he’s beautiful.
Congratulations….he’s a dolly!
Well he just HAS to be a lucky boy because:
1) I was born by C-section
2) ON 5/15 (which is his length)
3) AND we’re both stubborn Tauruses.
I like this kid already. Sending congratulations and best wishes! How bad of a friend am I that I haven’t talked to you (or lurked) since before you found out what you were having :(
Sorry.

Oh no, I can’t believe I’m just now reading this!! He’s beautiful! I love him already.
Why did he decide to come so quickly? Have you asked him that yet? Hugs, hugs, hugs!
Even on the air blower thingie (can you tell I work at a hospital?) he’s beautiful!
oh wow! he is sooo beautiful! I hope he is gaining strength everyday!
Congratulations Flingers! Our thoughts are with you. Your beautiful boy will be home before you know it.
I know I’m extremely late on commenting on this post but I haven’t visited your site in a while. My son was born on March 30 with respiratory distress syndrome and spent 14 days in the NICU. It’s really hard emotionally not to have a “normal” birth, especially if you’ve already experienced it and know what it’s like (I have a three year old). Leaving the hospital without my second son was probably one of the hardest things I’ve done. BUT - he’s home and completely healthy now, so the NICU experience is starting to seem like a dream (nightmare?) that didn’t really happen. It sounds like things are better now - congratulations on the birth of your son!
I know that this is waaaaaaay late but I’ve lost my blogroll and didn’t have your url!
My gosh! Baby O! My son was born 3 weeks early weighing 5 lbs. 14 oz. and 18 1/4 inches long so I know exactly how scary him being so tiny is. I’m going to catch up on your blog so I can see how he’s doing. Congrats again!!
