Thursday Thirteen!

Thirteen Things about Mrs. Flinger
1. It’s hard to come up with something y’all don’t know since I’m fairly honest here on my blog. But let’s start with my boobies, shall we? Always a good opener. They hurt. A lot. ‘k. 2. Sometimes I think our babysitter does a better job with LB than anyone else. I don’t think that’s normal. Or is it? 3. Today is the last day of finals for my University job. As much as I am happy, It’s always amazing how fast these quarters go by. I’ll almost miss coming to work here for the next month. Truly, it’s a nice break from the molars. 4. I put on a pair of pre-pregnancy jeans yesterday. They zipped. I wore them out of the house. They were a size ten. I almost passed out. 5. I’m not losing the weight like I’d hoped. But who does? I’m tired of thinking about it or worrying about it. And y’all are tired of hearing about it. 6. I wish it would snow. A lot. Buckets and Buckets so Mr. Flinger couldn’t go to work and I’d get to sleep in. 7. I’m getting selfish in my middle age. 8. I have more gray hair now than my mom did at my age. 9. Oma is coming next week. 10. I’ll try to be patient with the fam. But what are the holidays if you’re not at least a little peeved at your family, right? 11. I don’t know if I should take LB to church or not. I don’t think the way I used to. I’m not even sure there is a God. Or I do, but I don’t take it as literally as I used to. 12. Start thy period, damnit. JUST START. So I can have my chocolate martini!! 13. I’m glad I participated because I *ALWAYS* see Sleepingmommy do this and I wanna be cool like her. Look at you!  All cool and shit!!

You have me cracking up here…

The boss playing solitaire!?  Very funny indeed.

And, Leslie, you just turned 30… middle age?! You want to see middle age? I’ll send you pics of some of the gray hairs on my 40-year-old head!

    Ahh, the holidays!

I’m on a mission to comment a LOT now, so that I make the Bitches sidebar… just you wait!

ohh, I see it looks like I started, but I didn’t. Not yet.

And as of today? Officially late. So we shall see. (let’s not hold our breath, though, since I’m late every month. Sigh)

    That’s a fun/interesting post!

I hope you have a fun time with your Mom.  I know what you mean!  I remember her personality, she is VERY much alive!

I was thinking about what you said about taking LB to church or not.  (I read this earlier and didn’t have time to reply as my kids kept demanding my attention.)  I think that you should (like you wouldn’t have guessed THAT!)- if just for the reason of teaching her good morals, values, character attributes, etc.  I’m sure you’ll teach her stuff like how to share and all that, but I think it’s good to learn all of the possible lessons/morals/values that church has to offer.  Of course I hope you’d get more than that out of it, since there should be more to church than just that, but that’s a whole ‘nother thing in itself.  smile
