What gives, bitches?

So, Paige, Nicole and I had a talk about calling your friends “bitches”. We talked about how weird it is at first, like calling something good “Phat” with a “P H”. Fat. Personally, I grew up thinking fat was not nice and I just never got in to calling things phat.

Then there’s ho-bag. Yea, at first, being called ho-bag seemed a little weird. Until I realized it was a term of endearment and bygeorge, Anne can call me ho-bag to her heart’s content. It makes me smile. I luff it.

Then there’s the thong. I think of those things on your feet, you know, the sandals with just the toe separator there? Those are THONGS. I realize the underwear with the same separator is named the same thing. It’s just a different place being separated. But words do migrate, don’t they?

So what about it, bitches? Do you hate being called bitch? I know it is weird at first, but really, I mean it in all love. And feel free to call me your bitch back. I’d be honored.

It all depends on who it is calling me her bitch. My BBIRL, no problem. Other people…hmm, don’t think so. Now, bee-atch is a whole ‘nother ball game…......

I call Erika my bitch all the time.  (http://www.barefootbell.blogspot.com)

    ; )

I like the term “girlfriends” (but these days, one can’t be so sure, esp. on the web)...so I’ll be your bitch any time!

Usually only use it when I’m being silly or snarky with friends. I’m still hopelessly a SoCal girl, calling everyone and their mother “dude” smile

I don’t like that term, but I know you mean it in a nice, endearing way, so I am not offended.  smirk

It’s a little weird, but I’m getting used to it here.  Expanding my horizons…..!

I’m not offended :0) I don’t mind when Anne calls me a Ho- Bag either. One time she called me ’ Skanky ass ” too, but I know she meant it with the utmost respect wink

Yeah…I’m still getting used to hearing the word bitch as a term of endearment.  I’m not offended, but for some reason, I get the image of prison sex in my head…and that’s just not pretty.  LOL

Of course I know that’s not the image or meaning that you’re going for, so it’s all good.  I’ll be your bitch…just in a purely non-sexual friendship sort of way.

And I’m finally learning to say flip-flops instead of thongs too.

Never called flip flops thongs. Must be a Canadian thang. As for the B word no thanks. I am ridden the bus for too long. It’s never been a nice name in my book!
Yet again I am the Charlotte of the bunch.(SATC)

I’ve never been called a bitch unless it was in a bad way… so I don’t know how I would feel about it.  LOL!  Probably depends on who its coming from and which meaning they are putting behind it.
