Oh girly, maybe you can still go? You could have a lemonade stand and live blog it. LOL. I’d love to attend vicariously through you. Seriously though the SUV maintenance SUCKS. Been there done that to the tune of over $3,000.

Ooooh!  I’m in the band geek section too! And damn proud of it!! Though a gathering would be fun…  wink

Oh, a meeting of the blogger girls would be so fun! Stupid car.

  • June 24, 2006

Hey I was a paper staff geek, can I still hang with you guys? wink

  • June 24, 2006

I’ve been blogging since 2001 and I’ve never even heard of BlogHer,how much further out of the loop and far from the “in crowd” can you get.

  • June 24, 2006

Too bad, girl!  You could crash on my futon…I must live like 15-20 minutes (in good traffic) from there.  Of course, I’m not going.  With the thoughts of a buying a house and refi’ing the car, we be ‘poor’ people!

  • June 24, 2006

YEY band geeks! Marie, I remember you saying that now!  And Jamie, too. WOOT. Sarah, don’t feel bad. There’s a bunch of people hating people for going and not going and blah blah blah. Drama. I just think it’d be fun to meet y’all.

I’m always up for crashing a futon! And if it means hangin’ out then WHEEE. Now, if gas could just come down a tad….

    *sigh*

    Anyone up for Portland?

  • June 24, 2006

    West coast….so. far. away.

    Darn

  • June 24, 2006

How’s this for geeky?  I wasn’t in the band because they were too cool for me.  I was in the book club.  On the outskirts of the book club.

Sorry about the fan belt.  Sometimes life just sucks.

  • June 25, 2006

Ok…so I just checked in this morning, and your “keep up” area over there says that you have 22 guests and 2 logged in.  Now, if that’s not popular then I don’t know what is.  You really underestimate how much people love you, Les. (Especially me!) To me, you are the “in crowd,” and we don’t need a conference to prove that.

  • June 25, 2006

I am not, and will never be, part of the “in crowd.”  I was the proud leader of the band geeks, in fact, as I was drum major of the marching band my senior year.

Portland and San Francisco have the same issue for me: they are too far from Nashville.

  • June 25, 2006

Well, then, it’s Girl’s Night IN. (Next meeting is June 29th) Now THAT is cheap, close and virtually blogher. Minus the star bloggers and interviews and wine. Oh! Bring Your Own Wine!

    heh.

drag! oh well…next time, next time!

  • June 26, 2006

I don’t know where you got that anything about you or your blog sucks.. surely the women there will be nice!  Is there a whole “in crowd” at these conventions?

And who was talking about having our own convention in Texas for us southern girls??

  • June 26, 2006

Holli, we’ll be there in November. We’ll TOTALLY get a group of Tejas peeps together. Well, Tejas, LA, OK, and whoever else wants to drive. grin

I think TN isn’t that far? no?

  • June 27, 2006

I so want the code foe that “not” going to blogher button.

And hey, Baritone Babes rule the world!  wink
