  2. Love the new masthead!  And….you better hurry up and get some new bottles before that baby is born!

  3. Have you seen those sterilization bags by medela?  They have them at Target and they are fabo!

Happy nesting!  I woke up (to pee, naturally) at 2 am and got completely fixated on the baseboards a few days before I delivered.

  5. Hee! That’s what my house looked like a few weeks before numero uno was born! Good luck!

  6. I never did the nesting thing. I went in for routine monitoring for daughter, a week and a day before she was due. They decided she needed to be delivered that day. I was still waiting for the nesting to happen.

Second time around I was too tired from not sleeping for the past 3 years and from sweating and peeing so much for the entire pregnancy. No energy to nest.

At least that’s my excuse. Hubby says it was cause I’m nesting ALL the time and couldn’t tell the difference. He’s right…I do tend to fuss about having stuff the way I want it.

Count down time, huh? Are ya getting a bit nervous?

  10. Oh I remember those days… the first time I ever “sanitized” Bubbas bottles I burnt and mutilated several of them.

Then you become a master. And you are now a DOUBLE master.

  11. Ugh! That looks like my sink. Maybe I should get off my computer and face my sad reality.

  12. that was me last week….LOL. you wanna know what I got from my million bottle sanitation project…..
A SECOND DEGREE BURN!!!!  On my stomach, it was like slow motion.  My doc at my 38 week visit was like, good grief that is a HUGE burn.  I was like, yeah I know, it was completely stupid.  She asked how I did and I said, well at least the baby has bottle to eat out of now.  LOL.

    Be very, very careful.

  13. I’m having a Muffin Problem.  Paul took groceries downstairs to our standalone freezer last night, and he came up and said—very very gently—“I think we have….enough muffins now.”

  14. You need the Avent Microwave Steam Sterilizer!  Works with any kind of bottle, binkies, etc. and takes just a few min! (but probably good that you’re keeping busy these last few weeks!)

  15. I like the new design!!!

    By laura on 2007 05 17

  16. Wait, you have to sterilize bottles before you can use them?  Shit, I guess I have a lot to learn and only 4 weeks to learn it.  Another thing to add to the to-do list.

PS.  Like everyone else, I love the new masthead.

  17. Ooh…I second the Medela sterilization bags!  I found them last year when I had the baby, and they were a LIFESAVER!  I remember that crazy water boiling with my first, and I hateed it.  The bags were MUCH easier!

  18. Oh man. I remember that like it was yesterday—boil and dry.
At first, we hand-washed everything and meticulously cleaned every nook and cranny.
Then The Mistah went back to work, and everything went into the dishwasher.
But dude: nest away! nest nest nest nestynestnest!

  20. OH, you want to know what’s sad? We have the Avent Sterilizer. I used it all the time with LB. But for some reason I thought, “I’ll do it the OLD FASHIONED way.”

Because Nesting is taking over my brain. Oy.

(Thanks on the masthead love, y’all.)

(Also, Swistle, send some muffins our way!)

(And LauraLou, it’s only important for first-borns. And really anal parents. Everyone else sucks bottles right out of the package.)
