I?ve taken a series of pictures of my house in it?s current ?State of Affairs.? As I sit here, on the couch, writing, watching Grey?s Anatomy Season 2, fighting the gray hair I found budding from the crown of my head, I?ve decided I care too much about the house. I?m too anal. I?m too in to having the dishes done, the bathrooms clean, the laundry unwrinkled. For today, this one day, I will let events go as they will and live up to the call of SAHM. I will show them what would happen if I lived to the stereotype (damn, I already took out the laundry so it wouldn?t wrinkle, clean out the fridge and purchase the food for dinner. I?m already ahead of the curve). But today, on my seventh 14 hour shift of ?MomAlone? in five days, I?m going to not care.
We?ll see how long that lasts. The child isn?t napping again and, well, I don?t even know what BonBons are.
**Updated** I couldn’t do it. I had to clean. I did the dishes, folded laundry, made dinner, went to the gym, picked up, and started a new design. Good lord. So much for SAHM stigma. Of course, you’re not surprised, are you? The apple doesn’t fall from the tree.
Enjoy every stinking minute of your time off. (While she-child chooses not to nap.) What is up with our girls? Day two here as well. As for the house, leave it and see what Mr. Flinger says when he gets home. Each day that he works the gawd-awful shifts! Does that sound spiteful or what? (sorry)

PS. Diggin’ the layout. Although I am not a big fan of the Seattle pic. It should be a pic of Newberg or something.

Forget about BonBons. Go for the venti mocha latte instead. No, wait. Don’t. I just got back from S’bucks and decided to look up their nutritional info on lattes and pound cake. OH MAH GAWD. I’d better stick with a tall non-fat latte from now on.

That’s great! Let it go to hell . . for a little while at least. And then your analness will put it all back in place.

Every now and then you just gotta have days when you just don’t give a crap about the house!!!
By monkeygirl on 2006 09 12
Hell yeah girlie!
Kick those feet up and take a breather! Might have to move some stuff off the coffee table. LOL
BTW loving the site, glad to see you are feeling brighter. And OMG I am so jealous…I am IN LOVE with Seattle… great pic… can I move with you? (I’ll take the TV!)

and rudeness, YES! I want more cool people to hang with. HELLYES. Come on up!
And y’all, I suck at slacking. Gawd. I picked up and made dinner, the whole bit. Good grief. Maybe tomorrow. (if she naps, I will slack. It’s in my planner)

LOL You sound like me I have got to be doing something at all times even when Im just sitting watching TV I will still be crocheting or something. When I take a bath I read. LOL Moms are the ultimate multi-taskers we usually have no choice but to be doing ten things at once so when we actually have time to relax we dont know what to do with ourselves.

First of all, I love the new design although that toilet was hilarious. And now that I am going into the office four days a week our house looks like a damn hurricane blew threw it. On Fridays…my day off? I love, love to straighten, clean. Makes me feel great. I hate having a nasty ass house.

Good grief - if you are ever bored, please come over. those pictures are really clean for my house!
Although when I am home alone for hours I will clean and I love it (but don’t let anyone know, and well I am never alone anyways!)

I am so jealous! You’ve got Grey’s Anatomy season 2!!!! I want it SO bad. I think it would have been a perfect time to plop down and do nothing. You’re a better woman than I am for actually getting off your butt and doing productive things. I’m a major butt-sitter, haha.
By Charla on 2006 09 12
OMG, you are a compulsive template changer too. And, you also DO TOO MUCH like me!!!
You might want to check to see if you were born on a full moon. Because you totally act like it With all that activity.
In addition, if I am in a “bad emotional place” I’ll do even more than usual.
By Piglet on 2006 09 12
So, now your house looks better than mine? Mine’s bad. Wanna come over and clean and do errands for me? I only got out of my pajamas at 10pm to go to Walgreens to buy a few pee sticks…

I think BonBons were more popular in the 80s or some other bygone era, as who ever even sees them? Maybe they are just more high class than I am! That could be it, too.
Way to go on relaxing! Although I can understand why you ended up getting stuff done, as it’s not really relaxing when the house starts to fall apart. *sigh* It is never ending though, that is the disgusting thing!
By Holly on 2006 09 13
I knew you wouldn’t make it. Then again I don’t think I would of been able to either
By brandi on 2006 09 13
LOL Branid. Thanks, hon. I know. I’m ANAL. With a capital A.
Holly, I agree, Late 80s? Cause I have NEVER seen a package of said chocolate desert that women munch during the day.
Charla. Heh. You crack me up. You have TWO kids. I don’t believe you’re a couch sitter for a minute, woman.
PIglet, I do the same thing. When the place is spotless? Lilke SCRUBBED? I’m pissed. L yesterday with the SheChild not sleeping, I think I was a bit miffed and thus, cleaning ensued.
Lanna, PEE STICKS?!
Teena, I actually do designs while I sit and watch TV. And so, see? I change them a lot. Also, I’m working on another design for a gal that I’m excited about so really, I wanted to sit and watch TV while I WORKED. Kind of cheating. But I can’t NOT work. Gah.

I’m still waiting for the BonBon delivery truck.

k, then get your ass over here and HELP ME! My dishes are piled high in the sink, there are dirty clothes on the floor, and (gasp) dust everywhere!
some SAHM you are. you suck.
By Little Miss on 2006 09 13
We currently have a debris field of blocks across our living room floor too…funny pics!
I’m so like you…I couldn’t leave it all either. I hate going into our garage because that’s DH’s territory to keep clean…and it’s a disaster.
By AmyM on 2006 09 13
You should see my upstairs!! It looks like the storage bins for clothes threw up!!!!!
